It backs on to National park, has its own road easement and is only 50 metres from the clear clean bay. The property has a small stream and a small dam on the hillside, made by early explorers. Cook and Bligh both visited this property. Bligh's botanist planted the first apple trees on this property in 1788, possibly the first apple and grapes planted in Tasmania or Australia.
